About

Oblivion City Limits is an art and clothing brand created and run by Maya Lewandowski. Maya is a non-binary activist artist located in Santa Cruz, California. While oil and acrylic expressive portraits have always been their work of choice, they’ve recently found an interest in wearable art, hand drawn animations, and stylized characters. All designs are original and all printing, sewing, and crocheting is done by hand.

In every creative outlet, Maya’s political passion drives their work. Their pieces are rooted in leftist ideology, as well as occasional themes of mental illness. In addition to politically driven artwork, Maya writes political texts, some of which are public on the website. Above all, Maya values community and helping one another as neighbors of the world. They believe in non-wasteful, non-exploitative production, which is why everything created by Oblivion City Limits is hand-made by Maya, and all material is received second-hand.
